Rev. Evan E. Newman is a sincere and passionate evangelist and minister of music, born and raised the DMV. Many Sundays, he can be found at churches throughout the region, preaching and ministering through music with his twin sons (his bassist and drummer). At the core of his music ministry, is a deep desire to spread the truth and love of Jesus Christ, by any means necessary. With a unique blend of deep and soulful lead vocals, soaring harmonies, and funk-filled instrumentals, he delivers poignant, thoughtful lyrics that uplift, encourage, and edify listeners. His musical style has been defined as everything from gospel funk, to sanctified soul music. Rev. Newman doesn’t bother following the norms of popular gospel. Instead, he writes and records what feels and sounds good to his own soul. This philosophy allows him to stay true to himself, to his ministry, and ensures that what the listener ultimately hears- is genuine, sincere music, straight from the heart of a worshiper. Rev.
